Multidimensional Nature of Truth

Character and Compatibility Analysis
Founder: William A. Gabel, Jr.: "The primary mission of Cycles Research is to educate interested individuals regarding the multidimensional nature of 'truth,' and to convey an understanding of man's potential within the framework of objective reality. Also, Cycles Research wishes to instill an appreciation for our status as the 'end time' generation described in Daniel 12:10: 'Many shall be purified and made white. But the wicked shall do wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand. But the wise will understand.'
The conclusions Cycles Research arrives at may be relied upon because all of its conclusions are arrived at on the basis of one question: 'Is this information verifiable on the basis of mathematical formula?'
Hence, Cycles Research is more scientific than traditional science itself because traditional science has the fatal weakness of relying exclusively on a three-dimensional perspective. Cycles Research employs mathematical formula techniques that allow it to analyze on a multidimensional level.
Within the narrow perspective of the traditional scientist, if one cannot 'see,' 'smell,' 'taste,' 'touch' or 'hear' something, the conclusion is mistakenly drawn that the 'something' under consideration does not exist. This false conclusion all too readily evolves into fanatical cult religious doctrine which chooses arbitrarily to ignore facts and evidence in order to maintain the exclusivity of a three-dimensional, vanity-playground perspective, tailor-made for the personal aggrandizement of a priesthood of intellectual-elitist snobs and con artists. These elitists become a 'high priesthood' adept at the art of relieving a worshipful public of their money for pseudo-educational services and pseudo-counseling services departing almost entirely from the mathematically precise solutions to problems that characterize honest inquiry. As pseudo-scientists, they fall further and ever further into a dismal abyss: The non-scientific, vain-opinion morass, shaded as always by the bias, prejudice, lust and ambition of the particular investigator. Elitist diatribes are designed to glorify the teacher's intellectual superiority and to enhance the priesthood status of the elitist rather than to edify the student with truly scientific demonstrations of 'truth.'"

Introduction:
The Credo of Liberalism, the Crux of All Evil
Note: I recieved a note from a Geogia Tech person after he read "The Credo of Liberalism, the Crux of all Evil" as follows:
"You won't ever convince anyone of anything by insulting them. You oversimplify the issue."
This was a worthy observation deserving of a reply as follows:
"Jesus of Nazareth recognized the implacability of his detractors when he frequently referred to them as 'hypocrits,' 'liars,' and 'sons of the devil.' These chastisements were the appropriate medicine servants of the 'world,' the 'flesh' and the 'devil' need to shake them out of their complacency, if indeed, it is possible to wake them up at all.
So I am not really trying to 'convince' hard-core non-believers, but only those who might be humble enough to recognize God and the majesty of the created universe we are privileged to share, and to have a healthy respect for God's judgement that will some day fall on each one of us.
As the Holy Scriptures say of the hard-core unregenerates, 'They would not believe though a man returned from the dead to warn them.' (Luke 16:31)"
See letter responses to "The Credo of Libralism, the Crux of all Evil" and Mr. Gabel's answers below.
News Flash: February 4, 2004: Regarding the misguided Christian American Airlines pilot who single-handedly set the advance of Christianity back a few yards, Cycles Research has this observation:
Beware of cult leaders and potential cult leaders within the Christian church and in the world at large.
There is a simple rule of thumb for evaluating potential or actual cult-leadership-mentality people: Cult leaders get their fulfillment from controlling the behavior of other people.
In contrast, the holiness pilgrim is led by the Spirit of God, not by men, and therefore, true, godly church leaders teach and preach, they do NOT control. Simply stated, the teacher or preacher's job is to lead the parishioner into a walk with God.
The parishioner is not a puppet for a sick puppeteer to play with for his or her own personal power kick which can, and often does, lead to a David Koresh or a Jim Jones type of ministry in which the congregation is led into a death experience, instead of a life experience with God. Achieving a life experience with God is the true purpose of the church's teaching and preaching ministry.
Reported in the press on February 9, 2004, was the following:
"An American Airlines pilot has some explaining to do after he reportedly asked Christian passengers on his flight to identify themselves and then to talk about their beliefs with other (non-Christian) passengers on the flight. American Airlines is investigating that incident which occurred on a flight from Los Angeles to New York."
If the pilot had any sense, as a true Christian, he would have realized that true Christians are led by the Spirit of God, and it is the job of the Spirit of God to lead Christians in their ministry of witnessing to others, NOT the job of a cult-mentality pilot. The pilot, in effect, was trying to kick God off his place of authority over his fellow Christians, and put himself in God's place.
It cannot be stated emphatically enough, "Cult-mentality people are NOT beneficial at all vis-a-vis the advancement of the Kingdom of Heaven, and therefore, they should be taught the error of their ways, and if they fail to listen, they should be shunned by their fellow Christians."

In the above essays Mr. Gabel uses "Cyclical Data Analysis" to pinpoint the two major events that define the "end of the age" phenomena, namely the "rapture" or "fetching away" of the "Holy Saints" who are known in holy writ as "The Bride of Christ." This event will occur just prior to the rise of an antichrist dictatorship that will precipitate an end-of-the-age, worldwide holocaust, through which hardly any flesh will survive on the earth.
In the meantime, we can see the two opposing forces of "good" and "evil" butting heads with a ferocity that crescendos as we get closer to the end of the age. Witness the forces of antichrist using all of their 666 quality advantages (explained in Section Three essays "The Curse of the Cults," and "The Curse of the Education Cults") to lie, cheat and steal their way to world domination, having taken over the educational system, the entertainment industry, the judiciary, and last but not least, the major news networks such as Public Television, CNN, CBS, NBC and ABC. Their credo, "Big Brother Will Save Us via a Socialist-Style Dictatorship" is the answer to the problems of the world. The dominance of this viewpoint in Europe and Canada married to the "elitist-socialist" take-over in America will culminate in the ascension of a world-wide dictatorship of an antichrist king, who is described in the Holy Scriptures as "The Abomination that Causes Desolation." So get ready to kiss America and the world (as it presently defines itself) "goodbye."
All twenty essays on the web site contain less than 100 pages of reading material, however, they will provide a balanced insight into what really matters and what really doesn't matter as we approach the final curtain. So pucker up your lips. It's time to kiss the two thousand year-old "Church Age" "goodbye."
Typical letters Cycles Research has recieved in response to "The Credo of Liberalism, The Crux of all Evil," and Mr. Gabel's response to those letters:
From a Purdue person:
Wow, I am impressed. If that isn't wrath, then I don't know what is.
It is obvious that you were raised by your parents to be quite closed minded, self-centered, ignorant, and oblivious to the world around you.
To sit here and preach of the holiness and virtue of yourself and your world is quite laughable.
Let us hope, for your sake, that there is a heaven for you, because it is obvious that your life on earth is sad and unfulfilling. Try reading some books outside of your local Christian bookstore to help you open your mind to the world around you.
At first your letter angered me, but as I continued to read, I realized that I really had pity for you: You lead a sad, sad life my friend, and the only way you have to cheer yourself up is to tear into the lifestyles and choices of other people.
You are no better than a junior-high bully, except you are too cowardly to make the comments to people's faces. Instead, you hide behind your computer monitor.
Good luck my friend. I hope things turn around for you soon.
Mr. Gabel's response:
Wow! That was a great letter. Thank You!
You inadvertenly hit upon the truth: There are two mutually exclusive worlds that we must all choose between. One (the seven-dimensional life in Christ) has life, value, and the ultimate fulfillment man is cabable of, while the other, (the five-dimensional life of self-destruction and vanity) has death, zero value, and emptiness that always results in self-destruction for yourself and all those you are able to influence to subscribe to that narrow, dead-end, world view.
The only problem with your evaluation is your wrong choice of which world you are going to serve, which world you think is so wonderful. You mistakenly believe that the world of self-destruction and law-of-the-jungle savagery via vanity is the right one, and therefore you conclude that I, the author of "The Credo of Liberaliam, the Crux of all Evil," deserve to be pitied.
You're thinking, "That poor devil, Gabel, needs to get a life." And I am thinking, "That 'Mr. Purdue person' needs to find out what life is."
Best wishes to you. It is good that we can express our differing points of view to each other. Discourse is good.
Sincerely, your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
An excellent letter from a U.S. Navy person was recieved as follows:
I do not know who you are or why you are sending your propaganda to me, but please remove my name and address from your distribution list.
In addition to being a liberal, and thus offened by your message, I am at least tolerant of those who believe differenly from me and do not condemn them to eternal damnation as do people such as yourself.
In addition to the many faults of messages such as yours are the following:
When all else fails conservatives turn to accusations that anyone who believes differently is a sinner and unpatriotic. The "Religious Right" is usually neither religious or right.
Why is it that so many conservatives believe that God only speaks to them?
Those who espouse "prayer in the schools" tend to only want "their prayer," not necessarily "my prayer" in the schools.
The conservatives are the ones who quoted scripture and verse for moral support of segregation and when they lost that battle, established "Christian Academies" throughout the South, except only white Christians could attend these academies. As a young college student in the South, I found it particularly un-Christian for Baptist Churches to fund missionaries to Africa, educate young men and women, pay to bring them to the States for college, and then refuse to allow them in their churches!
Let's not confuse the personal failings of Bill Clinton (who I do not defend) with the institutional criminality of Richard Nixon, who utilized the FBI and Justice Department for political means through methods such as false accusations of income tax violations against his political enemies.
But more than anything, I am troubled by those great conservatives moralists like Pat Robertson. Pat Robertson attacks the State Department for failing to support such grand "Christian" leaders as Charles Taylor, the former president of Liberia, a man guilty of incredible sins against humanity, but Mr. Robertson fails to mention that he has invested millions of dollars in diamond mines in Liberia, thereby benefactoring Mr. Taylor's reign of terror.
By the way, why does a religious Christian leader like Pat Robertson own diamond mines in a country like Liberia? Or, speaking of the Clinton years, how about Newt Gingrich who spoke of morality at the same time he was having a long-term affair with his mistress? Jim Baker was another great example.
There are good conservatives and there are bad conservatives. There are good liberals and there are bad liberals. But being a liberal means believing in equal opportunity under the law for all people, personal responsibity and accountability, and I remain a proud liberal.
Mr. Gabel's response:
Dear friend: Thank you so much for your impassioned letter. It was great.
Your letter is a confirmation of the Holy Scriptures: To quote Jesus of Nazareth, "None are good but the Father in heaven."(Matthew 19:17)
There are less then 100 pages on the web site. Read them all then write me again. If you still feel the same way, then so be it.

Trevin, a "Christian Liberal" writes as follows:
How dare you! That is not "the credo of liberalism." I'm a Christian and liberal in many of my political views, but that is not "the credo of being liberal." It is possible to have liberal views and still be a Christian.
Mr. Gabel's response:
Dear Trevin,
Thank you so much for your note. I really appreciate your taking the time to write.
The term "Christian Liberal" is an oxymoron. Liberalism implies that man makes the decisions about what is "right" and what is "wrong." But the Holy Scriptures are very clear on that point, namely, God makes ALL the decisions on what is "right" and what is "wrong."
Christians flow with God and God's will or they become gods unto themselves and thereby they become God's enemies because thus saith the Lord: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3), Why? Because "I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers (who are foolish enough to be liberals) upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing mercy unto thousands of then that love me and keep my commandments." (Exodus 20:5-6)
The Holy Scriptures pretty much debunk any attempts to justify liberalism.
Exodus 20:5 tells us that if you do your own thing you're going to wind up hating God, and then, of course, there's no hope for you. The hatred of the "liberal left" toward Christianity vividly demonstrates the validity of this scripture.
Try reading all of the essays on the web site (less than 100 pages) then write me again. If you still feel the same way, then so be it.
Best wishes to you, your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
Trevin responds as follows:
God never mentions support or hatred for any political parties in the Bible, and this whole notion that you have to be conservative in your political views, or a member of the Republican party if you're a Christian is absurd.
I'm a Democrat and I feel that there is nothing wrong with taxing the rich to give the poor a helping hand. I don't doubt there are people that cheat the system, but I believe there are many more who need it then who cheat it.
The Bible calls for us to look after the poor and to be a voice for the disadvantaged, especially when they don't have a voice. (Proverbs 31:8-9)
If you honestly think I can't have liberal views, keep in mind, not all my political views are liberal, and if you really think I can't be a Christian who loves Christ and wants to serve Him, then you are sadly mistaken. There is no Biblical basis for your arguments if you believe this. Thanks for your time.
Mr. Gabel responds:
Thanks again Trevin! You're great! I love your letters.
Wow! Politics is ALL the Holy Scriptures are about, culminating in the reign of Jesus Christ on the earth forever. As a Christian, which government do you want to prevail on the earth, an antichrist, vineyard-thief mentality socialism, with its ruthless, "lie, cheat and steal our way into power" politics, or Jesus on the throne of king David?
Socialists don't give a rat's you-know-what about the poor. That's only their political slight-of-hand to attain political power for themselves while at the same time they destroy everything that is good and decent in society.
Socialist politics is an exact reflection of the desire of their father, "that old serpent called the Devil and Satan who deceiveth the whole world" to destroy all morality, all sense of "right" and "wrong," to destroy the "rule of law" and to set up an antichrist, socialist dictatorship, (a socialist "king" if you will) which will propel the world into its final, self-destructive holocaust.
You're good intentions are admirable, but don't feed the flames of destruction and death by voting for these monsters. Like Little Red Riding Hood, you'll wake up some morning and discover that what you thought was your sweet little old granny is really the Big Bad Wolf about to turn you into his lunch.
Best wishes to you, thanks again for your great letters, your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
One of the more spicy letters recieved and printed on the web site for comic relief is the following:
God hates spam and I hate you. Please kill yourself in the name of god so I can urinate on your ashes. Also, take me off your f...ing distribution list.
Thanks, and f... you.
Mr. Gabel's response:
Best wishes to you. The Holy Scriptures say, "Many are called, but few are chosen." It's impossible to penetrate the awareness of everyone with seven-dimensional realities. Here's hoping you prove to be an exception to the rule after you've read and seriously considered all of the essays on the web site. (less than 100 pages.)
Best wishes, your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
Keep those cards and letters coming. Thank you!
To all who have e-mailed and written in the past with a multitude of objections, questions and criticisms, I say,
"Thank you so much for your thoughtful letters. I sincerely appreciate the time and effort you've put into analyzing and responding to 'The Credo of Liberalism the Crux of all Evil."
And in a generalized answer to those objections, questions and criticisms, I say,
"On the surface life appears to be very complicated, but when you break things down into life's multidimensional components and familiarize yourself with, firstly, Spiritual, i. e., seven-dimensional reality (as set forth in the Holy Scriptures) and your personal experiences that verify the validity of those scriptures, and secondly, with Sorcery realities (five-dimensional reality) as set forth in the books of Carlos Castaneda and verified by the sorcery experiences we all stumble into from time to time, and thirdly, comparing these two sober sojourns into the worlds of multidimensional reality with the world of 'vanity, vanity, all is vanity' that we see around us on a daily basis, we begin to get a more comprehensive view of things.
The world cannot be understood three-dimensionally as intellectual elitists would insist that we believe (or be called crazy.) Most of the people you defend in your letters are exclusively three-dimensional thinkers, and as such, by definition, they must (at all costs) justify their narrow perspective. Thus, they become antichrist religious fanatics, fervently hating any truth or reality that transcends their narrow, thee-dimensional perspective which deliciously feeds their egos and their vanity. They become the zealous anti-Christian fanatics of society.
There is much detail that needs to be addressed to answer all of the points you've raised. I'd be very grateful to you if you would read all of the essays on the web site (less than 100 pages) and if your objections and questions are not adequately addressed, write me again and I'd consider it an honor to write you back."
Thanks again for your great letters.
Best wishes to you, your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
Christopher of the University of Missouri, Rolla writes as follows:
I am currently non-religious. I am not a Christian, Atheist, Satanist, Wicca, Buddhist, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, or a member of any other type of religion or faith.
I'm basically just a person who tries to enjoy life and be the best quality person I can be, and I believe that that is all anyone can ask from another person regarding how he or she live their lives.
There are many very good people who are not Christians, and who, contrary to your credo, live very happy, fulfilling lives.
Gandhi is a prime example. He was a long-time promoter of peace and an all-around good person, and he was Hindu. The Dalai Lama is another. He is probably one of the most consistently happy people alive. He is a remarkable man, kind, gentle, and not in the least disappointed with his life. In addition, he devotes much of his life to writing books and helping others with their problems, and achieving lasting happiness, and he does it all acknowledging that you DON'T have to be Buddhist to do so. In fact, he openly says that while religions do offer help vis-`-vis the well-being and contentment of people, it is not necessary to tie oneself to one religion. He even goes so far as to say that because of the differences between people, the world almost needs five or six billion different religions tailored to each individual person.
You say that a non-Christian (a person who does not choose "the seven-dimensional life in Christ" has only "death, zero value, and emptiness that always results in self-destruction and death for yourself and all those you are able to influence to subscribe to that narrow, dead-end, world view."
Well, I have shown you two cases, those of a Buddhist and a Hindu, that directly counter that view. Gandhi is well known and quoted around the world by scholars, theorists, religious leaders, and others. The Dalai Lama is a well-known, widely respected Buddhist, who encourages and helps people find what they need to be happy. Both of them are/were advocates of peace. Neither are/were self-destructive to themselves and especially not to those around them or influenced by them. They are/were not empty or without value. It would be quite difficult for anyone to find any fault in how these men lived their lives. AND NEITHER OF THEM ARE/WERE CHRISTIAN.
I suggest that you read other books about religion besides the Bible and other Christian books. Not that I want to change your mind that Christianity is good for you and probably for many other as well, but so that you can have a better understanding of the world and other people's beliefs, not to mention other sources to quote from."
Then Christopher goes on to make some other points that are adequately addressed in the essays on the web site.
Mr. Gabel's response:
Dear Christopher,
Thank you so much for your letter. You've put a lot of thought into it and I appreciate your taking the time to write. Let me clarify a few issues:
Re Gandhi (a Hindu) and Buddha, or any other "good" persons you might site, the Holy Scriptures are clear on that point: Jesus of Nazareth gave us the key when he said "None are good but the Father in Heaven." (Matthew 19:17) Translation: God must be involved in the thoughts, ideas and the doings of men before the word "good" may be applied to anything man thinks, says or does. Of course one may argue that God was involved in the thoughts, ideas and philosophies of Gandhi and Buddha but the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and only those who have entered into the holy presence of the Father through the shed blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, have their lives totally transformed, having crucified the flesh with its affectations and lusts and thereby having experienced the supernatural (seven-dimensional) miracles and interventions of God in their lives.
You will recall that the curtain to the Holy of Holies was rent asunder, from top to bottom, when Jesus was crucified, signaling that the price had been paid, and that, therefore, peace had been declared by God between sinful (five-dimensional, carnal) man and God, so that whosoever will may now enter into the Holy of Holies, and into the holy presence of God himself. This was not possible before the holy sacrifice of the Lamb of God.
In prior centuries God communicated with man via the prophets and via the Law of Moses, and prior to that God communicated with man (teaching of God's plan of salvation to all ancient societies all around the world) via the zodiac. This holy teaching was later bastardized, and the salvation message of the zodiac was lost via the teachings of occultists and astrologers. Dr. D. James Kennedy of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Florida wrote an excellent book on this subject. So the message of God's plan of salvation has always been out there.
The philosophies of men cannot accomplish man's redemption, because "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."(Proverbs 14:12) Anything less than Spiritual, i. e., seven-dimensional fulfillment, does not bring man into a personal relationship with God the Father, and hence cannot fulfill man's ultimate needs, and hence cannot be "good" in the biblical sense of that term.
Re your statement, "This seven-dimensional theory of yours comes across as quite hokey," seven-dimensional reality is not a theory. It is based on mathematical analysis (as well as biblical references to the number seven.) Then you say "your comparison (of seven-dimensional reality) and a worldly viewpoint of three-dimensions is flat out wrong." And herein lies the rub, as they say: The reasoning capacity of the intellect operates on a three-dimensional level only and therefore, it is not capable of "understanding" on a seven-dimensional (Spiritual) level. Spirituality must be experienced via the spirit of man as he experiences the working of God in his/her life. Just as in Sorcery (which experiences of a four and five dimensional level) man does not experience fourth and fifth-dimensions of reality via his intellect. Instead, his/her entire body is used as an instrument of perception, transcending the three-dimensional capacity of the intellect alone. See the writings of Carlos Castaneda for sorcery-experience insights.
So what can we say of those who exclude all the dimensions of reality save what they can "see," "taste," "touch," "hear," and "smell?" They have deified the intellect. They have become gods unto themselves, hating the truth of God and condemning themselves to a life of vanity and emptiness.
Read all the essays on the web site (less than 100 pages) for a more in-depth discussion of the subject, then write me again. If you still feel the same way, then so be it.
Thanks again for your great letter. I enjoyed reading your thoughts very much. I especially got a kick when you said in response to essay 19, "'I am Nothing, God is Everything.' Yikes!" Yikes indeed. The world of vanity, self-deification, and lies can't handle the idea of submitting to God's take-over of one's life, even though that's the best thing that can happen to one.
Best wishes to you, your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
Tony, a UMR student writes:
Congratulations on wasting all that time putting "The Credo of Liberalism, the Crux of all Evil" together, because God is dead and no longer cares.
Sincerely, Tony "I don't know who the f... you are or why you emailed me!" Last Name
Mr. Gabel's response:
Thank you for your note!
Boy! Are you in for a surprise!
Best wishes to you, your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
James, a journalist with a Christian upbringing and a subsequently, a Christian-Liberal perspective, writes as follows:
James' overview:
Your correspondence (Credo of Liberalism, the Crux of all Evil) shows you have been thoroughly brainwashed by the "compassionate" conservative right wing media machine, to believe that all liberals in this country are atheistic demons determined only to destroy morality in America. For the record, I am a God-fearing liberal who went to a private Lutheran school where they taught me the long history of exactly what kind of persecutions can occur when religion gets intertwined with politics. It is apparent you never had a chance to learn the lessons rendered from centuries of history on this issue.
I agree with your assessment that there are liberal, left-wing Democrats who are antichrist socialists bent on destroying religion, just as I believe there are radical right-wing Republicans who would like to see the Constitution rewritten and the Bible made the law of the land. The problem here is that people are trying to portray both parties in the light of their most extreme elements.
I am a firm believer in our Constitution and in our country's ability to adapt to changing times and issues. The reason I believe this is because people like you and me, who differ ideologically, can have a rational discussion over these issues. We can share the reasons we feel so strongly about certain issues, learn to understand each other, and hopefully find positive solutions both of us can live with.
James presents his passionate views on the separation of church and state:
Your correspondence regarding liberalism being "the crux of all evil," does nothing but reinforce my belief in the need for separation of church and state.
I'm sure you are thinking about the ludicrous arguments spewed by conservatives that there is no Constitutional protection granting separation of church and state.
These arguments are absolutely false. The Supreme Court has ruled on this matter numerous times and its rulings always come back to a section of the Constitution known as the "establishment clause," which guarantees freedom of religion. The Supreme Court rulings have reinforced the basic fact that you cannot have freedom of religion in this country if you favor one religion over another. In essence, you can either keep all religions out of government activity, or you have to give all of them an equal say.
In other words, our country cannot favor the religious beliefs of one group over another. For example, if we allow the Christian Bible to be taught in our public schools, then we also have to allow Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, Satanic and whatever to be taught also.
Now I really don't understand how you make the jump from liberals wanting to ensure everyone has the freedom of religion, to liberals wanting to impose, "paganism, savagery and crazy dictatorships" on America. To me this is absolutely ludicrous.
The fact of the matter is that liberals are able to separate the political needs of our country from its moralistic ones. It is the conservative movement that wants to engage this country on a moralistic crusade, and ignore all the very real problems we should be focusing on. Problems such as increasing medical costs, growing unemployment, a growing trade deficit, the expense of engaging in warfare around the world and other crucial problems. These are the real problems that won't go away by sitting back and hoping morals will save us.
When Jesus was tempted by the devil to throw himself off a building so the angels would swoop down and save him, Jesus answered that we should not tempt the Lord our God. The message here is that we shouldn't throw our country off a bridge and sit back praying for God to bail us out. We need a real debate on how to deal with issues, not a diversion into morals.
Anyway, the conservative platform on moralistic issues has no logic attached to it. Conservatives argue that the people of America are smart to spend their own tax dollars and that we need a smaller government, privatization and more local control (which means passing federal and state responsibilities onto local governments that have a smaller tax base).
What I don't understand is, "How can we be smart enough to spend our own tax dollars and handle our own governmental needs through the private sector, but we are dumb enough to need the federal government to tell us right from wrong?"
If a moralistic crusade is needed, shouldn't the churches be leading the way with local, private initiates and not depending on the federal government to fund these programs? Anyway, if we start funding Christian initiatives with tax dollars, we are soon going to have to fund other religious initiatives that Christians will not agree with on moral grounds. Why open this Pandora's box?
A concern I have is that we continue to "Give unto God that which is God's, and unto Caesar that which is Caesar's." There must be a distinct line between the church and the state.
People who wish to evangelize should do so out in the private sector amongst the souls open to hearing the Word. Religion is not something that can be forced upon people by governmental mandate. That is how God's message has become perverted, twisted and used for purposes never intended (by God).
History has shown countless examples of how no one is ever saved by mandates. They've only been saved by opening their hearts to God and living their lives the way He asks us to.
Look at the Middle East for example. This area of the world is a disaster because the governments there decided they were going to mandate religion onto people. They've twisted the words of the Koran to bend people to the will of dictatorships. This is something President Bush also said he believes is happening (in the Middle East).
They (the Middle Easterners) have ignored the peaceful messages in the Koran and instead decided to focus on "jihad." This is an attempt to subdue what they perceive as "non-believers" through violence. Then they can force Muslim beliefs upon them.
James puts forth his justification for his Christian-Liberal perspective:
James' Liberal Christianity: The only way to reach non-believers is through positive examples by private citizens. People who can show them how God will bless them if they live life in a God-fearing manner. People who can share with them the peace of mind, body and soul this creates. People who are positive examples of how a happy life is accomplished through love and understanding, not hate and violence.
This is the reason I am a liberal.
I believe in helping the poor before the rich. I believe in protecting God's creation, not destroying it to make money. I believe our seniors should be able to live the rest of their lives in health and dignity, and not loose everything they've worked for their whole lives just to send grossly inflated profits to insurance companies and medical providers. I believe corporate America, which has gained so much wealth from the freedoms we all enjoy, has a responsibility to give something back to people who support them. I believe America should work with the rest of the world to find solutions to problems through cooperative effort, not make moves that appear unilateral and that set bad precedents. I believe our government should listen to the average, working-class American more than we listen to the lobbyist with the most money, and both parties are guilty of this.
To me, being a liberal means all I want is the normal, average, Joe Schmoe to have a bigger say in his government than greedy corporate America, which has already proven it has no moralistic values.
If large corporations had morals, there wouldn't be thousands of people put out of work so companies could exploit the labor of the poor in other parts of the world. There wouldn't be such a high level of environmental damage done to the beautiful natural creation God entrusted us to care for.
I hope you will take this to heart and understand that not all liberals are atheists, just as all conservatives are not Christian. Remember, the Bible says, "Judge not, lest ye be judged in the same manner."
Mr. Gabel responds:
There are two problems with your analysis:
First, technically speaking, Christianity is not a "religion," but rather it is a personal relationship that one may have with God. Confusing Christianity with "religion" is the root of mass confusion, because you are absolutely right, once Christianity is turned into a "religion" by the priesthood people and/or the "clergy," man takes control of the "flock" and these same men (as often as not) take the Christian pilgrims away from God and God's direction in their lives, and what do you know! Corruption and evil abound. As you say, the politically power-hungry church should be feared because, as we all should know "(secular) power corrupts and absolute (secular) power corrupts absolutely."
The only clergy that are not corrupt are those whose only concern is to lead the Christian pilgrim into a personal relationship with God because "Those that are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God." (Romans 8:14) Godly clergy (those who are led by the Spirit of God) are not concerned whether or not the seeds of truth they sow will take root and grow or not. They are not coercive bullies trying to force the truth on people because they realize that things are the way they are supposed to be, because (a) God is in control of things and (b) "Straight is the gate and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."(Matthew 7:14) So there is no danger that a godly person (a person led by the Spirit of God) will be a tyrant. God doesn't force anyone to follow a certain path.
God's entire stratagem (we find as we ply the Holy Scriptures with diligence) is to deal with and redeem those few people on earth who are humble enough to seek the truth of God and his relationship with man: "Seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you." (Luke 11:9) All the rest of humanity are doomed to self-destruction because (out of either vanity or following the false "religious" leaders we were discussing above) they won't seek the truth of God, and instead, they will serve the gods of the "world," the "flesh," and the "devil."
Hence, life's drama unfolds, and man finds his ultimate destiny, which is either a family relationship with God the Father, or destruction and death.
What you probably haven't realized yet, is that the left-wing political zealots, (the Christian-hating liberal bunch) are not only far more zealous than the Christians, but they are the much-to-be-feared religious fanatics of our present generation, just as the inquisitionists were the much-to-be-feared religious fanatics in their generation. They kick God off his place of authority and insert themselves, just like their father, "that old serpent called the Devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world."(Revelation 12:9)
I agree with you that churches should not be given governmental assistance. As you say, it is opening a Pandora's box indeed, and a trap allowing the government to impose on what the Spirit of God would otherwise do via the work of the church. Bush is making a big mistake in this area.
The godly church (as opposed to the political church) is dependent upon God for outcomes. The reasoning should be, "If God can't do it (using the Christian pilgrims as his instruments and as his outreach in the world and by the working of his mighty, supernatural power) then who are we to take the charge of things away from God? We, seizing control from God, then become political hacks just like the antichrist socialists on the political left."
Let's face it. The end-time scenario is playing itself out before our eyes. Nothing can stop it. Our lonely salvation is to become servants of the Most High up to, and beyond the climactic, end-of-the-age we are now facing.
Second, your reasoning starts out with a false assumption, i.e., that the natural order of things that you see all around you on a daily basis is going to go on forever, and nothing could be further from the truth. This presupposition is a disease afflicting almost 100% of the intellectuals of the world.
You, like Rush Limbaugh and other well-meaning intellectuals, think that "the natural order of things" will prevail on into infinity, and hence, you frame all of your thinking in terms of natural solutions via logic and reason to bring about a "new world order" of sorts, based of man's ability to resolve the world's problems. It ain't going to happen because it is impossible for man, operating out of his logic and reason alone, to solve the world's systemic problems.
Besides, the world's problems are here for a purpose: To test everyone on the earth to see if they will fail or pass the test (of figuring out that God, and God's love is the key to everything) and failing this test be destroyed. If man solves the riddle of life successfully, he inherits a personal, family relationship with God. This relationship is the ultimate "solution" and also the ultimate "revelation" of what, exactly, is the answer to the riddle of the mystery of life.
Well-meaning intellectual dreamers are naive enough to think they can (and optimistically think they will eventually) solve the world's problems.
But let's get real. (1) If we would consult the Holy Scriptures we would discover that the natural order of things is not going to prevail much longer anyway, and the thinking pertaining to "natural-order-of-things solutions to problems" pretty much excludes God (our ultimate solution to all problems) from the equation (since man's solutions are at best 5-dimensional, and at worst 3-dimensional) and since God is the master planner behind everything that has happened or ever will happen, we'd better consult with him as to the future and just how things are going to play out, and what the possibilities are. (2) God's plan vis-a-vis the world's ultimate destiny is an entirely new, recreated world, a world in which God establishes a harmonious blend of five and seven dimensional realities and thereby is able to commune with man on a very personal, family-relationship basis. (See "Christianity Graduate School," the first part of that essay deals with this topic, and Revelation chapter 21.)
Keeping in mind the fundamental truth that Christianity, in its pure form, is not a "religion" but simply a personal experience that one develops with God via following Jesus' example and teachings, your conclusion that organized "religions," are power-centers, getting involved in the unhealthy pastime of taking over the politics of the country is absolutely right. Because "religion" for the most part is not God-centered, it is man-centered via priesthoods of clergy that are subject to their individual bias, prejudice, lust and ambition. So what you wind up with is an infinite number of competing priesthoods: The religious-elitist priesthoods, the political-elitist priesthoods, the intellectual-elitist priesthoods, the media-elitist priesthoods, all vying for their piece of the pie. But lo and behold, God is left out. He's given lots of lip service, but man, corrupted as he is by a self-deification mentality, takes control away from God, just as happened in Jesus' parable of the vineyard thieves. (Mark 12:1-11)
So what is the counter point to the self-destructive realities that we see operating around us on a daily basis? It is the invisible advancement of the Kingdom of Heaven via the Spirit of God. The obscure, little-noticed Holy Saints led by the Spirit of God putting it all together brick by brick as they stand on the solid rock, the unction, power and glory of the Spirit of God directing their path.
On the one hand are a tiny group of people who are humble enough to seek God, and flow with him for the advancement of his Kingdom, and on the other hand, the thundering herd of people who follow the self-deification elitists (in religion, in politics, in the media, and in the universities) to their destruction and death.
It's the antichrist majority (which seems overwhelming) verses the tiny Christian minority (that will prevail in the end.)
Bottom line: Everything is moving toward the fulfillment of God's master plan. Either one gets aboard or one perishes.
I hope you will take the time to read all of the essays on the web site (less than 100 pages.)
Best wishes to you. Thanks again for your great letters. You, as a journalist, are thoughtfully obsessed with the political situation, and of course, so am I, but from a different perspective. I enjoy reading your analysis, and of course, if you factor God out of the equation, your analysis and conclusions are absolutely right. Your friend, Bill Gabel, CyclesResearch.org
Tim, a Florida newspaper person writes as
follows:
I beg your pardon! You’ve read a newspaper or two, and from that you’ve deduced
that newspaper people are godless heathen. And I work at a newspaper, so I must be one of them. Thank you for that insight.
I don’t know your religion, but in my religion we
contemplate a man who suffered and died for uncompromising unselfishness. Without trying to impose that on anyone
else. That’s part of the meaning
of unselfishness.
If you think political conservatives, (or
political liberals for that matter), have a corner on ethics, I’d like you to
compare the policies of the conservative right wing of this country with that
of, say, the Pope.
Are the Republicans liberals because they want to
kill people in wars and executions?
Are Democrats conservatives when they oppose that?
Mr. Gabel’s response:
Dear Mr. Tim,
Thanks so much for your retort. It was great!
The problem with intellectuals in general (and this would
include the three-dimensionally oriented newspaper people) their vanity tends
to be threatened by the idea that there are worlds out there that transcend
three-dimensions.
You identify yourself as a Christian: “in my religion we
contemplate a man who suffered and died for uncompromising unselfishness.” But Jesus didn’t die for
“uncompromising unselfishness” he died as an act of obedience to the Heavenly
Father because as Jesus taught us, “No one is good except God alone.” (Luke
18:19)
The Holy Scriptures are constantly being distorted by
vanity-centered intellectuals to fit an unrealistic, emotional, Pollyanna
perspective designed to make everyone feel saintly when they’re not, like your
idea that warfare is not in keeping with godliness, when the entire message of
the Holy Scriptures is about a battle, a warfare between good and evil from one
bloody end of the scriptures to the other.
Get real, my friend, and stop listening to your colleagues
with all their ear-tickling slop and slime nonsense. The intellectuals are the craziest people on earth and their
obvious purpose in the scheme of things is to set up an anti-Christ,
“big-brother-will-save-us” socialist dictatorship (accurately prophesied in the
Holy Scriptures) that will result in death and destruction for practically all
flesh on the earth.
Look it up in he Holy Scriptures: It’s called “the spirit of anti-Christ”
and the “Abomination that causes Desolation.”
Thanks again for your great letter. I really enjoy hearing from you.
Best wishes, your friend, Bill Gabel, Cycles Research.org
Donna from Florida writes:
Please keep your radical, goofball opinions to
yourself. Christianity is the
supreme EVIL. It has caused more
misery than any one thing in history.
Organized religion of all kinds is EVIL. Don’t email me again with your bull(expletive).
Mr. Gabel responds:
Donna old girl!
Hold your horses!
Christianity is the antidote to organized religion. In fact Christianity is not a religion
at all, it’s following the Way (Jesus) into a personal relationship with God
the Father, and you have to fight off the religious people in order to
accomplish a family relationship with God the Father. This includes religious people who call themselves
“Christians” but are Christians in name only.
As Jesus said “None are good but
the Father in Heaven.” (Luke 18:19)
It was the “religious” people who
had Jesus killed. Remember? In fact all those who oppose
Christ (i.e., our link to a personal relationship with God) are “religious”
people, from the self-deification, “vanity, vanity, all is vanity,” people we
see around us all the time to the “follow and worship me” priesthood and clergy
people which are found at all strata of society from the intellectual elitist
priesthoods found in the universities and the media to the “fall down and
worship me” entertainment people and politicians.
“Humility” via following Jesus,
the “Way,” is the key to experiencing a personal relationship with God the
Father, and “vanity” is the key to “religion.”
Best wishes to you, your friend,
